Women's Health when a Catholic facility is the only game in Town
Due to mergers there are now areas of of the country that only have a Catholic hospital. Let me be clear, I have no issue with Catholic hospitals, but I do have a problem with the religious directives. There have been cases in which women have presented with ectopic pregnancies and imminent miscarriages and didn't receive treatment due to a fetal heartbeat. This is not something that would happen at a non Catholic hospital. Therefore I believe that if a Catholic hospital is the only facility in a given area, they should have to provide all treatment irrespective of religious directives. I know this is a controversial stance but I don't believe that my life or any other woman's life should be put at risk for religious beliefs. Wake Up America
