The Vote on Gun Safety is Political

All of us in the 91% support universal background checks have to contact our representation in congress and tell them to stop playing games and vote.  As a Mother my heart just breaks when I hear the parents and families of those killed at Sandy Hook talk about what they are going through.

Enough is Enough.  It is time for Congress to stop kowtowing to Wayne LaPierre at the NRA and listen to their constituents.  Wayne LaPierre is not listening to his NRA members who are overwhelmingly for background checks.  Wayne is listening to the people who are really paying his salary and that is the gun manufacturers who are making boatloads of money.

To say that background checks won't stop every gun crime so we should do nothing is a cop out.  That's like saying the police can't stop every robbery so just get rid of the police.  As the president just said in his speech moments ago in Connecticut, it is time for us to make our voices heard and stand up.

Kentucky voters it is time for a change.  You owe the country and yourselves. Vote McConnell out of the Senate in 2014.  He is not listening to you.
