Time for Progressives to Take the Floor

I have had enough of seeing these damn white Rebublicans taking over these congressional town hall meetings. As an African American Progressive I have had it with seeing these people say just stupid and outrageous things at these meetings unchallenged. 

 I live in a blue state and these people don't dare show up to a town hall meeting in my district and say this stuff. They would be challenged immediately. 

It's time for progressives, especially African Americans to show up at these meetings and let these racists know that America is our country too and they can't take it back because a Black man is sitting in the White House. Our ancestors built more of this country than theirs ever did and we have had enough of their whining.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Where is the Democratic Party going from the epic loss in 2016? Well that depends on who you ask. Bernie Sanders and his most rabid supporters like Susan Sarandon tell Democrats that we need to bow down to white working class voters and only depend on small donor contributions. According to them and the left wing purists, if we take money from rich progressive celebrities and progressive billionaires like Bill and Melinda Gates then we're no better than the Republicans. Well, as a 57 year old African American woman from Louisiana (one of the reddest states) living in Massachusetts (one of the bluest states) I can look at this question from both sides. The Real Base of the Democratic Party

We now see the outcome of listening to the dopes like Susan Sarandon who said there was no real difference between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. However, they don't want to own the stupidity they exhibited in the lead up to the 2016 election. As a Black Woman who is about to celebrate her 58th birthday I consider myself part of the real base of the Democratic Party.  96% of Black Women voted for Hillary Clinton. 53% of college educated White Women voted for Trump.  So somebody tell me why in the Hell am I going to listen to this group telling me how my Party needs to change. As the Mother of a Millennial here's my message to them.
