Wake Up America

I'm just so tired of the voters who are so uninformed that they all they can hear is that if the President is for it, it has to be wrong.  All of the economic indicators that are used to measure the strength of the economy are through the roof but according to the Right Wing Nut Jobs on radio and tv the Obama administration is cooking the books.  I'm so tired of voters in red states who are taking from those of us in blue states but yet they think we're just liberal idiots. Who are the idiots when the red states are the poorest and pay less in federal taxes that they take in aid from the federal government but the hate the government.  I'm tired of the gridlock in congress because the art of compromise is lost because of the ignorance of the tea party candidates who have been sent to Washington. And last but not least I'm tired of the so called progressives who let this happen by sitting home on their asses and not voting. Wake Up America!

Due to mergers there are now areas of of the country that only have a Catholic hospital. Let me be clear, I have no issue with Catholic hospitals, but I do have a problem with the religious directives.  There have been cases in which women have presented with ectopic pregnancies and imminent miscarriages and didn't receive treatment due to a fetal heartbeat. This is not something that would happen at a non Catholic hospital. Therefore I believe that if a Catholic hospital is the only facility in a given area, they should have to provide all treatment irrespective of religious directives.  I know this is a controversial stance but I don't believe that my life or any other woman's life should be put at risk for religious beliefs. I just can't believe that the American Hospital Association is not leading the protests over the GOP governors refusal to take federal dollars to expand Medicaid and cover hundreds of thousands of Americans. The fact that hospitals are actually closing in rural Georgia because they are over run by the uninsured who could be covered by Medicaid.  Are these people just stupid or smoking crack?! This is just a no brainer. Well I say again, wake up America and get off your asses and vote these fools out in November. Healthcare is a right and not a privilege. Everyone governor and legislator who is against the expansion of Medicaid all have health insurance.  Progressives better not fall asleep at the switch like 2010. If we do the poor and middle class is doomed. Income and influence will continue to flow to the top 1/2% and the rest of us can pound sand. It is time for the GOP to be punished for their continued belief that the rest of us are going to let them take our rights. This law waiting for the Arizona governor's signature is the latest example of the main stream Republicans letting the lunatic fringe pass legislation that will devastate Arizona's economy if it is not vetoed. The rest of the red states better pay attention. You try this crap at your own peril.  We will not spend our tourism money in your states and we will put pressure on corporations to pull out as well. No one has the right to use religion as a shield for discrimination. Whites did this before the Civil Rights Act was passed. I don't believe that anyone who says they are Christian can believe that this is what Jesus would do.

Ted Cruz and his Tea Party Senate and House colleagues are a prime example that graduating from college doesn't mean you went to class. Hearing these idiots call the President, who is a constitutional professor, lawless because he is going to exercise his legal authority makes me just about lose my mind. President Obama has signed fewer executive orders than any of his last WHITE predecessors. The ugliness that has been spewing from the GOP since the State of the Union is racist and we as a country should not tolerate this foolishness. I for one have had enough. I'm calling out all of these GOP so called leaders and their constituents and letting them know that we hear the DOG WHISTLE.  What they are saying about the President is racist pure and simple. Wake up Progressives and vote these racist idiots out of office at all levels of government.

The president has been talking about fairness in America especially with income.  The right wing of course keeps saying that he is just waging a war on the rich.  I don't buy it that we have to give more to the rich and hope that something trickles down to the rest of us. As Rev. All says "we got the down but we're still waiting for the trickle."  All of the legitimate economists say that giving more and more to the rich simply doesn't work. Enough already with protecting the so called job creators. It's time for progressives to turn out in November and vote the GOP out of the house and Senate. Give the President the ability to raise the minimum raise and pass tax and immigration reform.  We also have to pay attention.at the state level too.
