Why Do The Police Believe They Never Do Anything Wrong?!

The  death of  Freddy Gray in Baltimore is yet one more example of how Black people are treated so differently by the police.  It was predictable that the Police Union Rep and their lawyer would immediately say that their officers did NOTHING wrong.  Really?!  Why not for once just say that we are going to make sure that our officers get good representation and that we will make sure that they get due process.

It is time for police officers to realize that the Code of Silence has to end now.  When so called good officers cover up for dirty officers it makes them ALL dirty.  Why do police officers not get it that no one has a guranteed job for life. If I suck at my job nobody is going to  cover up to protect me and I will get fired. This has to be the same for police offficers.

People talk about the Police being different because they put their lives in danger everyday.  That is true but I believe that Police Officers put themselves in more danger by mistreating the public who they are supposed to protect and serve.

It is time for Police Officers to stop denying that they view black people as "others" and treat us differently.  Black people get stopped for offenses that Whites don't. Young Black men are treated as assumed criminals even when they are just walking down the streets.  This is just unacceptable and has to stop!  Baltimore has shown that we are tired of no justice.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Where is the Democratic Party going from the epic loss in 2016? Well that depends on who you ask. Bernie Sanders and his most rabid supporters like Susan Sarandon tell Democrats that we need to bow down to white working class voters and only depend on small donor contributions. According to them and the left wing purists, if we take money from rich progressive celebrities and progressive billionaires like Bill and Melinda Gates then we're no better than the Republicans. Well, as a 57 year old African American woman from Louisiana (one of the reddest states) living in Massachusetts (one of the bluest states) I can look at this question from both sides. The Real Base of the Democratic Party

We now see the outcome of listening to the dopes like Susan Sarandon who said there was no real difference between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. However, they don't want to own the stupidity they exhibited in the lead up to the 2016 election. As a Black Woman who is about to celebrate her 58th birthday I consider myself part of the real base of the Democratic Party.  96% of Black Women voted for Hillary Clinton. 53% of college educated White Women voted for Trump.  So somebody tell me why in the Hell am I going to listen to this group telling me how my Party needs to change.
