If you listen to the Morning Joe television hosts we all underestimated Donald Trump as a Presidential candidate.  I vehemently disagree with them.  In actuality we overestimated the brains of the Republican voters.  Some political pundits get offended when it is said that Trump supporters are stupid. Well as a fellow voter I can say that I do believe Trump supporters are stupid and racist. The stupid comes from falling for the Trump okedoke without question. Trump has filled his supporters' heads with a laundry list of things he will do for them that he has no ability to get done given the structure of our government.  I say they are racist because they are supporting Trump's tagline of "Making American Great Again and Taking Our Country Back."  These phrases are dog whistles and Black people like me hear them loud and clear. After hearing Bernie Sanders and his supporters try to eliminate Hillary Clinton from calling herself a Progressive I felt the need to weigh in on this discussion.  I vehemently oppose Bernie deciding that he can define who is a Progressive. I classify myself as a Progressive and a moderate which Bernie has decided you can't be.  Well in my mind along with millions of others you can be.  Bernie's hard line leaves not just people like me as non-progressive but also President Obama.  This is a huge problem for Bernie Sanders and he appears to be quite tone deaf to it.  Those of us who are staunch supporters of President Obama don't appreciate Bernie's attitude regarding the Obama legacy and that is why he will struggle to increase his support among African American voters. Listening to Marco Rubio give his speech last night after coming in 3rd in the Iowa Caucuses was like being in the Twilight zone.  He was giving a victory lap speech all the while blowing the GOP Dog Whistle with the racist tag line "We're Going to Take Our Country Back!" Marco Rubio is touting himself as the only Republican candidate that can bring the party together and beat Hillary Clinton.  Frankly, Marco Rubio has been a do nothing US Senator who decided he didn't like being in the Senate once he cut and run on the immigration bill. Marco Rubio has been described as the GOP Barack Obama but that is an insult to PRESIDENT OBAMA. Marco Rubio is no where near as smart as President Obama and he is a dangerous hawk who I expect will employ all of the military tactics of Dick Cheney and his ilk. Marco Rubio may be able to unify the establishment and money wings of the Republican party but his views on social issues make him un-electable by the majority.  He is pl...
