Shameful Day for the GOP

Yesterday's passing of the Farm Bill without the provision for the Nutrition Program marks the most shameful and hypocritical day of the GOP. There you have congressional members receiving millions in farm subsidies while making a conscious decision to let millions of Americans go hungry. 

I stand with the Democrats in the house, like Rep. Shiela Jackson Lee who spoke so passionately on the house floor. I, like her, ask what is wrong with these people. Are they so hateful and hard hearted that they are ok with letting people go hungry while they give us all the middle finger as they blantantly take their subsidies.  

I ask all people not just liberals like me but poor and working class GOP voters in red states to stand up and say ENOUGH! Stop voting hatred for Obama and vote for your own self interests. Stop letting yourself be used by the Koch Bros., Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and others. Look around you and see what is happening to rank and file Americans.

For anyone to say that it's ok for little kids to go hungry in America is just wrong. I for one say no and I've had enough of the madness.

Enough already. The tea party republicans thought POTUS was going to let them take take down the ACA. Where Do We Go From Here?

Where is the Democratic Party going from the epic loss in 2016? Well that depends on who you ask. Bernie Sanders and his most rabid supporters like Susan Sarandon tell Democrats that we need to bow down to white working class voters and only depend on small donor contributions. According to them and the left wing purists, if we take money from rich progressive celebrities and progressive billionaires like Bill and Melinda Gates then we're no better than the Republicans. Well, as a 57 year old African American woman from Louisiana (one of the reddest states) living in Massachusetts (one of the bluest states) I can look at this question from both sides. The Real Base of the Democratic Party

We now see the outcome of listening to the dopes like Susan Sarandon who said there was no real difference between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. However, they don't want to own the stupidity they exhibited in the lead up to the 2016 election. As a Black Woman who is about to celebrate her 58th birthday I consider myself part of the real base of the Democratic Party.  96% of Black Women voted for Hillary Clinton. 53% of college educated White Women voted for Trump.  So somebody tell me why in the Hell am I going to listen to this group telling me how my Party needs to change. As the Mother of a Millennial here's my message to them.
