This Case Was About Race

George Zimmerman was found not guilty for killing Trayvon Martin and the defense and the prosecutors both say it was not a race case.

They must all be living in a Florida fantasy  land. Of course this case was about race.  George Zimmerman racially profiled Trayvon Martin and then disobeyed the police by following him. When Trayvon defended himself against a strange man, George shot and killed him.

It breaks my heart to see that so many white Americans actually believe that George did nothing wrong even though he brought a gun to a fist fight. The verdict in this case makes me know that African Americans have to protect our own kids because there seems to be no one to do it but us. 

We have to get out the vote in 2014 and change the composition of our state legislatures in order to change the laws that leave us vulnerable to thugs like George Zimmerman. Blacks and Latinos have the numbers, we have to get out and VOTE their asses out.

Attorney West said that the fact that George Zimmerman was tried was a travesty. No, the travesty is that George is going home and Trayvon is dead.

We all must continue to pray for Sabrina and Tracy because they will never get over this.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Where is the Democratic Party going from the epic loss in 2016? Well that depends on who you ask. Bernie Sanders and his most rabid supporters like Susan Sarandon tell Democrats that we need to bow down to white working class voters and only depend on small donor contributions. According to them and the left wing purists, if we take money from rich progressive celebrities and progressive billionaires like Bill and Melinda Gates then we're no better than the Republicans. Well, as a 57 year old African American woman from Louisiana (one of the reddest states) living in Massachusetts (one of the bluest states) I can look at this question from both sides. The Real Base of the Democratic Party

We now see the outcome of listening to the dopes like Susan Sarandon who said there was no real difference between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. However, they don't want to own the stupidity they exhibited in the lead up to the 2016 election. As a Black Woman who is about to celebrate her 58th birthday I consider myself part of the real base of the Democratic Party.  96% of Black Women voted for Hillary Clinton. 53% of college educated White Women voted for Trump.  So somebody tell me why in the Hell am I going to listen to this group telling me how my Party needs to change.
