Yes there is a War on Women's Health

For everyone not paying attention, North Dakota women are under seige. I've always said that the stupid gene resides on the Y chromosome and I think what is going on in North Dakota is the proof. For a Red State that is always talking about constitutional rights and the damned 2nd amendment, the fact that they would pass a bill through the legislature that is so clearly unconstitutional just takes my breath away.

The GOP in the Congress has passed the Ryan budget once again which guts programs that would help low income women care for the babies that North Dakota will be forcing women to give birth to.  However in my opinion the GOP is just pro-birth not pro-life.

On the MHP show today there was a discussion of whether or not this assualt on Women's Health Rights is really a smoke screen for holding women back and keeping us out of the work force.  If we are having  more babies, we can't compete as easily against men for scarce jobs.

Yet again we have old white men telling women what to with our bodies.  If they can't get pregnant then stop telling us what to do about pregnancy and other women's health issues.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Where is the Democratic Party going from the epic loss in 2016? Well that depends on who you ask. Bernie Sanders and his most rabid supporters like Susan Sarandon tell Democrats that we need to bow down to white working class voters and only depend on small donor contributions. According to them and the left wing purists, if we take money from rich progressive celebrities and progressive billionaires like Bill and Melinda Gates then we're no better than the Republicans. Well, as a 57 year old African American woman from Louisiana (one of the reddest states) living in Massachusetts (one of the bluest states) I can look at this question from both sides. The Real Base of the Democratic Party

We now see the outcome of listening to the dopes like Susan Sarandon who said there was no real difference between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. However, they don't want to own the stupidity they exhibited in the lead up to the 2016 election. As a Black Woman who is about to celebrate her 58th birthday I consider myself part of the real base of the Democratic Party.  96% of Black Women voted for Hillary Clinton. 53% of college educated White Women voted for Trump.  So somebody tell me why in the Hell am I going to listen to this group telling me how my Party needs to change. As the Mother of a Millennial here's my message to them.
